§ 8-4. Same—Issuance; records.

  • (a)

    The police department, upon receiving proper application, shall issue a bicycle license which shall be valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of issuance. A registration copy shall be issued with each license.

    (b)

    The police department shall not issue a license for any bicycle when there is reason to believe the applicant is not the owner of or entitled to the possession of such bicycle.

    (c)

    The police department shall keep a record of the number of each license, the date issued, the name and address of the person to whom issued, the bicycle frame number and a record of all bicycle license fees collected. Such records shall be maintained for a period of five (5) years from the date of issuance.
