§ 5.4. Uses permitted, R-3 Districts.

    Uses permitted.

    1.

    Uses permitted in R-2 Districts.

    2.

    Automobile courts, hotels, motels, and tourist homes, provided no business shall be conducted except as a service for guests thereof.

    3.

    Private clubs, lodges, libraries, and museums except any that are primarily commercial uses.

    4.

    Resort transient cabins and housing accommodations and the following accessory uses for the accommodations of guests: Boat and motor storage and rentals, bait shops, dining rooms, and soft drink and snack bars.

    5.

    Group homes.

    B.

    Uses permitted with special use permits.

    1.

    Restaurants in connection with permitted uses, subject to restrictions as to time of operation during evenings, Sundays, and holidays, and other needed limitations, as imposed by the board of adjustment and/or the city council as conditions of the approval of any such use permit.

    2.

    Mobile home parks.

    3.

    Automobile parking lots.

    4.

    Parking structures for required off-street parking spaces for use within five hundred (500) feet thereof.

    5.

    Mortuaries.

    C.

    Uses excluded.

    1.

    Placement or storage of portable toilets; provided, however, portable toilets shall be temporarily allowed within the district for use by the owner or tenant of the property, their guests and invitees for a period not to exceed seventy-two (72) hours. Provided further, the term of the placement may be extended by written permission of the office of the zoning administrator of the City of Jamestown.
