§ 1. Purpose of Appendix.

These regulations are hereby adopted for the following purposes:
(1)

To establish standard procedures, requirements and conditions for the preparation, submission and approval of plats of the subdivision of land within the city and within six (6) miles of the corporate limits thereof, as provided in Chapter 40-48, North Dakota Revised Code of 1943, and to enable the city planning commission to exercise the authority granted therein, and

(2)

To require that such plats conform satisfactorily to the major thoroughfare plan for the territorial jurisdiction of the city planning commission and other plans for the territorial jurisdiction or part thereof, including the land use plan and other portions of the master plan.
